University College Academic Advisement

All undergraduate students less than 24 semester hours of credit and all students who are classified as General and Unclassified students are advised in University College Academic Advisement, 340 Fell Hall, (309) 438-7604.

University College Academic Advisement is located in Fell Hall 340. In keeping with the mission of University College, Academic Advisement staff provide comprehensive academic support services to nearly 6,000 students. University College Academic Advisement serves all freshmen as well as undeclared students (General Students) regardless of class status.

Administrative/professional staff, graduate assistants and peer advisors offer support services in both individual and group settings. These services include academic counseling, referrals, academic planning conferences and assistance with other academic needs. University College focuses on providing students with the necessary tools to make a smooth transition to the classroom and college environment. Departmental Advising

All undergraduate students with a declared major (with the exception of Communication) who have earned 24 or more semester hours of credit are advised in their academic departments. Business majors are advised in the College of Business Advisement Center, COB 129, (309) 438-8385. Graduate students in a degree program are advised in their respective academic departments. University College Academic Advisement provides a master list of all of the academic advisors on campus sorted by major.
