Illinois State is committed to the safety and welfare of its students, faculty, and staff. Numerous programs and services promote a common-sense approach to safety awareness and crime prevention.
The University offers many safety services, including 24-hour University police department availability, emergency telephones, and a Safety Awareness Week, which is sponsored by the Dean of Students Office.
The Illinois State University Police Department consists of 22 commissioned state university police officers with authority in any county in the state where the University has a vested interest.
