Residence-hall living is an integral part of the Illinois State experience for transfer and continuing students, providing a wide range of opportunities designed to complement your academic experiences in the University's classrooms, labs, studies, and library. Illinois State's University Housing Services offers several special interest lifestyle floors specifically targeted for transfer and continuing students.
As a student returning or transferring to the University, you have the opportunity to reside on a lifestyle floor designed specifically for you! The Transfer and Continuing Student Lifestyle Floor provides students with an opportunity to live and interact with peers, while creating a support system for their Illinois State experience. These lifestyle floors are located in Dunn, Walker, Hamilton, and Whitten halls. You will find more information about these floors as well as other benefits of residence hall life by visiting the University Housing Services site.
On-campus housing applications will be mailed to students admitted for the fall term beginning in early February. It is best to complete and return the application to University Housing Services as soon as possible.
However, please be sure to consult the On-Campus Housing Policy before you make any decisions regarding housing for the fall term.
